A Continuance of Service Agreement (CSA) is a written agreement between Duquesne Light Company (DLC) and a landlord or property owner/manager that allows electricity to remain on when tenants move and discontinue their service. The service responsibility transfers to the landlord or property owner/manager. Here are several benefits to a CSA:
  • The Start Service Deposit is waived when properties transfer into your name.
  • Service remains active without interruption to protect your property.
  • Service remains active for post-occupancy repairs, renovation, and/or for showing the property to prospective tenants.
For properties not covered by this agreement, service is discontinued when a tenant places an order to stop service; although, a new tenant or landlord may contact DLC to begin service at the property. Start, stop or transfer service online.
