After submitting your application, your enrollment will take effect immediately if you're eligible to enroll. If you're not eligible, the enrollment form will have a message indicating why.

If you're able to shift your electricity use, such as large appliance or machinery use and electric vehicle charging, away from peak times to off-peak and super off-peak times, including nights and weekends, this rate may be right for your business.

Time-of-Use Rates may not be appropriate for customers that cannot change the time of day that they rely on electricity, such as those with medical devices that require electricity or customers who are operating during peak hours. If you are a low-income customer, other programs and assistance may be available to help you to afford your bill.  Visit DLC's Payment Assistance webpage or contact us at  1-888-393-7600 for more information or to apply for assistance.

We encourage you to compare DLC's Time-of-Use Supply Rate with DLC’s standard default service supply rate and Electric Generation Supplier (EGS) offerings using PA Power Switch, the official electric shopping website of the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission. Learn more about shopping for your electricity supply here.

After you enroll, you may cancel your enrollment in the Time-of-Use Supply rate anytime and instead select DLC’s standard default service supply rate or an electric generation supplier rate. Once you cancel your enrollment, you may not re-enroll in the rate for at least one year.

Net metering customers are eligible to participate in the Time-of-Use Supply Rate. Here's how it works:

• First, your solar generation is used to offset your usage in the current billing period on a kilowatt-hour-to-kilowatt-hour basis, meaning a kilowatt-hour generated in the peak time period may be used to offset a kilowatt-hour used in the off-peak or super off-peak time period and vice versa.
• If you have excess solar generation in the current billing period (meaning you produced more electricity than you used), the excess will be banked and used to offset your usage in future billing periods.
• The kilowatt-hours in your bank are applied chronologically, meaning the oldest kilowatt-hours in your bank will be used to offset your usage first regardless of which time-of-use period (peak, off-peak, super off-peak) they were generated during.
• On an annual basis, DLC will compensate you for any kilowatt-hours remaining in your bank on May 31. For net metering customers enrolled in the Time-of-Use Supply Rate, this payment will be calculated based on when the kilowatt-hours were generated using the peak, off-peak, and super off-peak supply rates.
  

The Time-of-Use Supply Rate will only appy to your supply charges and does not affect any other charges you may see on your monthly electric bill, such as distribution charges. These supply charges will be listed on the final page of your electric bill, under “Supply Charges,” and will be broken out by peak, off-peak, and super off-peak. For net metering customers, supply charges will only appear if your generation doesn’t fully offset your usage.
