Keeping customers connected to a secure, reliable source of electricity is Duquesne Light's primary goal. That’s why we are investing more than $2.9 billion in infrastructure and technology upgrades between 2011 and 2021, reinforcing our commitment to maintaining, and improving, the region’s critical transmission and distribution system. Our dedication to improving the way energy is delivered is just one of the many ways we are working to become your next generation energy company.
As part of Duquesne Light’s commitment to providing reliable service to our customers, we are replacing older 4 kV distribution line wires and equipment by converting to new 23 kV circuits.
Utility poles, overhead lines, and transformers will be replaced in Aliquippa and West Aliquippa, as well as in the immediately surrounding area. In addition, the transformers at two substations will be removed.
