Program Dates For customers with NO electric service: The Grant Program is open from October 1 of each year through the last day of February of each year. During this time, if you are eligible and programs are open, you must apply for LIHEAP and CRISIS before applying for the $1 Energy Fund Grant.

Starting March 1 of each year, the Grant Program is open to all eligible customers whether your electric is on or off.

How to Qualify for the Grant Program Your account must be residential, single home or apartment. The name on your account must be an adult (18 years of age or older) living in the household. You must have paid at least $100 on your account in the last 90 days. You must have a balance on your electric bill of at least $100. Senior citizens age 60 and over may have a zero (0) balance, as long as there is no existing credit on the account. Your monthly and/or yearly household income must fall within the Federal Income Guidelines.
