Duquesne Light

Need Help Paying Your Electric Bill?

Duquesne Light offers a wide range of free programs year-round that help low-income families, seniors and others in need pay their electric bills and learn how to use energy more efficiently. For example, the company’s Customer Assistance Program (CAP) forgives arrears over time and lowers monthly payments, based on the ability pay. Other Universal Services programs include Smart Comfort, Customer Assistance & Referral Evaluation Service (CARES) and the Dollar Energy Fund. Duquesne Light’s customer service representatives are trained to assist customers who call regarding arrears and payments, and to refer them to Universal Services if they qualify.
