In partnership with Read! 365, a public awareness and action program of
Beginning With Books that encourages adults to get involved in reading to
children on a regular basis, helping them to become eager and enthusiastic
readers at every grade level, the Duquesne Light Reads for the Fun of It!
program invites children and their parents to visit their community library and
learn about the resources available to encourage early childhood literacy.
Duquesne Light has donated hundreds of books to children who attend the events,
and company volunteers donate their days off to read to the children and engage
them in craft activities related to the stories they are hearing.
