Duquesne Light teamed up with the Pittsburgh Pirates for the "Power Pitch for Charity" program this past season. For
each strikeout a Pirates pitcher recorded, Duquesne Light made a $75 donation to the Dollar Energy Fund. More
strikeouts... a more powerful donation.
Pirate pitchers completed the season with 963 strikeouts, resulting in a Duquesne Light donation of $72,225.
Duquesne Light added an additional $17,775, bringing the total to $90,000.
