To get started, you need
your "price to
compare", the average
amount of electricity you
use in a month (this is in
kilowatt-hours and is on
your electric bill), and a
list of electric
generation suppliers
licensed by the Public
Utility Commission to
serve Duquesne
Light customers.
Call Suppliers. Ask
Questions. Compare Offers.
Compare the prices and
offers of different
suppliers. Important
questions to ask include:
What is the price? Does
the price depend on usage?
What is the length of the
agreement? Is there a
penalty if you switch to a
different supplier later?
Is there a bonus for
signing up? Will you
receive one bill or two?
