Our e-Bill service enables you to view your bills online. Instead of a paper bill being delivered by US Mail, you receive an e-mail message containing summary information and a link for you to view your bill online.

Yes, you will be able to see a bill image with all of the same information as your paper bill. Additionally, you can save or print a copy of your bill for future reference.
Will I still receive the newsletter and bill inserts that come with my paper bill?
Yes, this information will be available to you when viewing your e-Bill by selecting ‘Service Line’ or ‘Current Bill Insert’.
Will I still receive a paper copy of my bill?
No, once you choose “paperless” as your delivery method, you will not receive another paper bill. Although, you can print the bill from the website.
How can I get a copy of an old bill?
e-Bill customers can view up to 6 months of bills online.
Can ElectriCheck customers participate in e-Bill?
Yes, ElectriCheck customers are encouraged to sign up. They can receive and view their bills online, which eliminates the need for a paper copy, and their payments will continue to be deducted automatically.
e-Bill Enrollment
Can anyone sign up for e-Bill?
Most residential customers are eligible for e-Bill. Customers who have had too many returned checks within the past year may not be eligible. Customers who are on summary billing and customers on Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) are not eligible.
Do I have to provide my email address in order to receive an e-Bill?
Yes, the email address is used to notify you each month that your e-Bill is ready to view. Note: this is the same email address you have registered with on the Duquesne Light website.
Do I need special hardware or software to receive an e-Bill?
No, you only need internet access and a web browser that supports 128-bit encryption to access your bill. For more technical details, please review the Help option in your internet browser.
How do I sign up for Duquesne Light's e-Bill?
Go to www.duquesnelight.com. After logging in, visit your ‘Profile Information’ and then select ‘View/Edit Accounts’ or ‘Add Account’. Once there, you will have a choice to select ‘Paperless (e-Bill)’ as your delivery method. That’s all there is to it.
Where can I find my account number and meter number?
The meter number is in the upper left hand corner of your bill. The account number is in the upper right hand corner. How to read your residential bill.
When will my e-Bills be available online?
Typically a day or so prior to when you would normally receive them in the mail.
How will I know I have a new e-Bill?
We will send an e-mail reminder the day after an e-Bill is issued. This will get sent to the email address that you use to access the Duquesne Light website.
Can I include more than one Duquesne Light account under a single email address?
Yes, you can select the delivery method for each account you registered to use on the Duquesne Light website.
How can I de-enroll from e-Bill?
To de-enroll a single account, login to www.duquesnelight.com. After logging in, visit your ‘Profile Information’ and then select ‘View/Edit Accounts’. Once there, you will have a choice to select ‘U.S. Mail’ as your delivery method.
How do I update my email address?
Login to www.duquesnelight.com. Select ‘Profile Information’, then ‘Edit Profile’. Once there choose ‘Change Email for Login’ and follow the easy steps.
Can I store or view electronic bills?
You can view a six-month history of your electronic bills and payments. You can print the bill or download it if you want to keep long-term records.
Is my billing information protected?
Yes, the e-Bill site connects to a secure server that uses security measures:
Your email address and password will be requested each time you "log in." These are unique identifiers known only to you.
We use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and encryption to protect your information and make it unreadable during transmission over the internet.
You are automatically logged out of a session if you are inactive more than fifteen minutes.
How does Duquesne Light protect my privacy?
Duquesne Light takes customer privacy very seriously. Duquesne Light will not share your name or personal information with third parties except when necessary to deliver service or in response to a legal court order. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for detailed information.
What if I forget my current password?
For security reasons, Duquesne Light does not know your password. You can retrieve or change it by providing information that you set up when you registered your email address. Duquesne Light representatives have the ability of generating a temporary password for you.
Why am I receiving an error message when I log on? I am entering my information correctly.
The user name and password are case-sensitive and must be entered EXACTLY as they were originally enrolled. If you continue to receive logon errors, please notify us.
Not receiving email notifications or reminders?
Make sure that the email address you have provided is correct.
Make sure your email inbox is not full. You may need to delete some old emails to make room.
Disable your email filtering ‘spam’ or ‘junk’ mail software.
Add e-Bill@DuqLight.com to your email ‘safe’ list.
If Duquesne Light receives two ‘bounced back’ email notifications, we will STOP sending emails to you. You must update your email address on the Duquesne Light website.
NOTE: Even without an email notification, you may always log directly into your e-Bill on the Duquesne Light website.
Email reminders look distorted, or links don’t work?
If your email looks distorted or if the links within the email do not work, your email provider may automatically send emails to your inbox with the images and links deliberately turned off. Many email providers provide functions that allow you to see images and links in your email; it's often as simple as changing a setting or two. Please contact your email provider for assistance on allowing images and links to display in your email.
Payments
Duquesne Light offers several convenient options for paying your bill.
Automatic Payment Plan, (Electricheck) is a free and easy way to ensure that payment of your bill is received on time. With Electricheck, your bill is paid directly from either your checking or savings account on the bill due date each month.
Schedule an online Payment is a free electronic payment service. Now with the click of a mouse, you can schedule your payment to be deducted from your checking or savings account on the date you choose.
Pay my Bill Now -- You can pay your bill with a credit card or check any time of the day with this service offered to you by NCO. (Fees apply). You can access this option by going to www.duquesnelight.com or call 412-393-7100 and press 3-2-1.
U.S. Mail – Send your payment to Duquesne Light Payment Processing Center Pittsburgh, PA 15267-0001. Remember to always include your Duquesne Light account number on your check or money order.
How far in advance of the due date should I schedule my online payments?
If you're using a bank account that you've not used to pay your electric bill before, we suggest you schedule your payment at least six (6) business days before the due date to ensure the payment processes correctly. If you're using the same bank account you've used to pay your electric bill online before, we recommend you schedule your online payment at least two (2) business days before the due date.
When is the money for my electronic payment withdrawn from my bank account?
The payment is deducted from your account on the scheduled payment date.
Can I make changes to my electronic payment?
Changes to the payment can be made up to two (2) business days before the scheduled payment date. If your payment status is “pending”, no changes can be made.
Can I make payments from more than one bank account?
You can setup more than one bank account, but only one bank account can be used when making a payment.
How can I confirm that an electronic payment has been made?
After the payment date, you can check its status by visiting www.duquesnelight.com and click on “Account Summary” or you may contact your bank for verification.
Can I pay my electronic bill with a credit card?
You can pay your Duquesne Light bill using a credit card payment option through a third party, NCO. (Fees apply).
Is there a fee for making an electronic payment?
Duquesne Light does not charge a fee for ‘Automatic Bill Payment’ or ‘Schedule a Payment’. There are fees for the ‘Pay my Bill Now’ option offered thru NCO.
Should I pay online if I have a past due balance and my service is scheduled to be shut off?
No, please call 412-393-7200 and speak with a Duquesne Light agent who can assist you with your payment options.
